"Stories of Steam HD" volume 8 contains 90 minutes of stunning high definition footage recorded over thirteen years from 2007 to 2020 showing steam locomotives hard at work in NSW.
Highlights include 3642 pounding through the Central West and climbing Tumulla bank solo on a heavy tour train in August 2012; 3801 & 3830 double heading up the Illawarra escarpment to Moss Vale in August 2007; a cab ride on 3642 as it works up the grades to Hornsby with 3265 & 3016, and then a trackside view of the three locos tackling the Cowan bank a few days later in April 2014; 5917 hauling the "Fotoz Flyer" to Wallerawang in August 2014; 6029 on Gosford/Hawkesbury River shuttles in October 2016; and finally 3801 performing adhesion trials on Cowan bank in May 2020.
