INTRODUCTION
S.A.R. Narrow Gauge Journal No. 2 will follow the same basic format as No. 1 with a number of features and regular articles. We are trying to balance a mixture of historical, general interest, local interest and preservation articles and it may take us a while to get the formula right.
We have been very lucky in that quite a number of former (and a few current) railway employees have shared their experience with us. At first most think they nothing to offer as they were just going about their daily routine. but today that routine is part of our history and something completely new and foreign to a generation that is growing up with computers and video games. Fortunately we are still talking to people and therefore increasing the amount of material available for future publications.
