INTRODUCTION
Railways around Cowra - If someone asked you to name the most centrally located railway town in N.S.W. you would probably say Cowra. Situated roughly mid way on the cross country link between Blayney on the main western line and Harden on the main south, Cowra provides relatively easy access in almost all directions. Even the north west is within reach via Dubbo, Binnaway and Werris Creek, while the long branches of the south west are only a few hours away via Cootamundra and Junee. Probably the only parts of the system not relatively convenient are the north coast and south coast lines.
