Paperback cover 20 pages colour & black/white photos
PUBLISHERS NOTE
In 1981 we produced a small booklet on behalf of Steamtown which covered a brief history of Peterborough and Steamtown, a description of a journey along the line from Peterborough to Eurelia and a list of locomotives and rolling stock. Six years later the booklet was revised and reprinted. It proved very popular and has been out of print for many years.
Twenty eight years later we are again going to revisit the Steamtown story, but this time the book has a beginning and end. Steamtown Peterborough Railway Preservation Society was dissolved on 13th Janury 2005, although the Peterborough council had taken control of the assets some years earlier.
We have added some new photographs and completed the Steamtown story. The description of the journey to Eurelia has still been included as it, like the Society, is all now part of history.
