“Diesel Diary 8” is the eighth in this popular series of videos illustrating a wide range of diesel locomotives working in a variety of locations in New South Wales. Recorded from 1997 to 1999, highlights of this video include:
- Triple 48s hauling heavy wheat trains between Demondrille and Greenethorpe.
- Preserved locos 4401 & 4490 working a tour train to Bathurst.
- An extremely busy day at Redfern spent recording loco hauled freight and passenger trains being diverted into Sydney yard due to track closures elsewhere in the metropolitan area.
- Lachlan Valley Railway locos 4701, 4716 & 5367 triple heading on a tour from Griffith to Goulburn via Junee.
