“Diesel Diary 9” continues the theme of illustrating a wide range of diesel locomotives working in a variety of locations in New South Wales .
Highlights of this video include:
- A segment on the Indian Pacific being hauled by CLPs, triple 81s and double NRs late in 1998.
- Indian Red liveried locos 8027 & 42220 together on the oil train from Canberra in July 1999.
- An extremely busy day on the Short South in September 1999, featuring a huge range of different locomotives, including Silverton loco 442s3 double heading with Austrac loco 1873.
- A pair of 48s hauling a tour on the branch line to Boree Creek in 1996.
- The special “handing over of locos 4916, 4803 & 44211 to the NSWRTM” tour which ran to Lavender Bay and Gosford in January 1999.
- The first day of regular operations of “DL” class locos to Dunmore quarry.
