Micro-Tsunami's sound features are matched only by its superior motor control and brilliant lighting effects, making it unsurpassed in its technological capabilities. A 32-bit digital signal processor provides the necessary horsepower Tsunami needs to support a multitude of functions, sound effects, and advanced motor control features, and yet, measures just 25.5mm x 13mm x 5.5mm.
Small Size, Big Features
Micro-Tsunami steam decoders can produce over 22 sound effects, including the bell, whistle, airpump, dynamo, snifter valve, injectors, firebox blower, side rod clank, brake squeal, exhaust chuff and more. Pull up to the water tank and activate the Water Stop effect -- a steam engine won't get far without water! Fireman Fred has a few new things up his sleeve as well, as he works to keep the locomotive in prime operating condition. Use the Auto-Exhaust™ feature to adjust the exhaust cadence to correspond to a 2-cylinder, articulated or geared locomotive or use a cam if you prefer.
The diesel version can produce over 14 sound effects, including the engine startup and shutdown, engine prime mover through all eight notches, bell, airhorn, air compressor, dynamic brakes, radiator fans, brake squeal, and more.
Micro-Tsunami goes several steps beyond ordinary sound generators. It is so powerful that it comes with special effects processors -- the Equalizer, Sound Mixer, Dynamic Digital Exhaust (steam version), and Reverb. It's like having a complete sound studio at your fingertips!

Advanced Motor Control
We designed Hyperdrive™ technology into the Micro-Tsunami, resulting in smooth and precise locomotive operation. Hyperdrive includes many features, such as high-resolution speed steps, high-frequency PWM drive, and torque control, all designed to improve the running characteristics of your locomotive.
With the press of a key on your DCC controller, you can blow horns and whistles, ring the bell, and watch the headlight sputter to life as the power builds up. The more functions your controller has, the more fun you'll have!
