The N Scale New South Wales XPT

The NSW XPT is a diesel-powered high-speed passenger train designed to travel long distances between Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane as well as the Central West of NSW.
- First entered service on the 8th April 1982
- Powered by a Paxman Valenta as built, now fitted with a Paxman Vp185
- Power output is 383 kW or 514 hp per engine.
- Maximum speed in service is 160 km/h, but it has reached a speed of 193 km/h
- Formation: 4 to 7 passenger cars
White headlights, red tail lights, and fully illuminated passenger car interiors bring the XPT to life after dark.
