This presentation follows on from ‘What’s New With NSW Coal in 2011 Part 1’. We first complete our look at action in the northern coal region and then move to look at changes that have occurred on the north coast, short north and southern coal lines.
We first complete our travels down the Whittingham – Minimbah Bank to Singleton during which we view BL, G, TT, XTR, 48/481, 81, 82, 90, 92, 5000, 5020 and 6000 class locomotives in action for PacNat, QR National and Xstrata, then move to the north coast region where we view PacNat and QR National 2200, 421, 423 and 82 class powered Duralli/Stratford coal trains, thence to the short north where we observe Southern Shorthaul’s Newstan coal trains powered by C, FL, G, KL and 442 class and finally to the southern region where we view PacNat and Southern Shorthaul B, C, DL, EL, and G class hauled coal trains.
