Christmas Markets have a long tradition in Germany. One of the most popular markets in the Advent period is the »Christkindlesmarkt« in Nuremberg. Also very beautiful Christmas Markets are found in big cities like Aachen, Munich and Augsburg. In some cities, these traditional markets have been established since the 14th century. Meanwhile, the typical German tradtion has been spread worldwide: since the 1990's, Christmas Markets have been set up in line with the German model, e.g. in Chicago and New York, called German Christmas Market or Christkindlesmarket.
The Mulled-Wine Stall made by NOCH tends to be more like the stalls at smaller Christmas Markets, which are seen e.g. in Wangen im Allgaeu.
