This presentation follows on from Train Tours Part 1 and covers additional rail tours undertaken from Sydney to Ranelagh House (near Robertson), Manildra, the Interurban Electrified Network and to the North West and West via the Ulan Line. Content is as follows:
Steve Waugh Foundation Express - travel by 3642 to Ranelagh House via Wollongong.
Last U-Boat Tour - travel around the electrified network on the last Commonwealth Engineering built stainless steel single deck interurban set prior to formal withdrawal from service.
Western Wanderer Tour - travel in this 15 carriage consist to Ulan, Gulgong, Merrygoen and Dubbo hauled by 81 Class and thence to Kandos Cement Works hauled by twin 48 class.
Manildra Tour - travel to Manildra powered by NSWRTM 4490, 4520 and 4201. Our closing scene views preserved NSWRTM electric 4638 on a tour to Lithgow.
Other locomotives and passenger equipment seen in the course of these tours includes Freight Corp 80 and 90 Classes, National Rails NR Class, Manildra Group’s MM01(ex-49 Class) and CityRail’s suburban trains.
