17041604 - Platform Trailer Truck - MAN Pausbacke (HO Scale)

Colourful curtains for the Pausbacke’s sleeping cabin

Embrace the colour in your life – forwarder in the sixties never shied away from a chance to create a head-turner. Taking full advantage of this trend, the MAN Pausbacke operated by the Braunegger forwarding company in Leverkusen started dominating the traffic on state roads and motorways shortly after its unveiling in 1960. The classic cab-over-engine combination with the grinning cabin - as it is now released - has been based on the historic prototype and original templates. In the new release, the two-axle tractor tractive unit is pulling the three-axle trailer with swing axle. The front of the Pausbacke is marked by the contemporary design of the typical dark-red MAN radiator grille with its ornamental lettering and strips in silver, while the flanks of the driver's cab clearly mark the home of a contemporary long-distance lorry driver as they feature the cab curtain that were common at the time. Even the livery was designed to match the original.

Driver's cab blue, crimson radiator grille with silver surround and “MAN” and “Diesel” lettering in silver. Interior grey. Flatbed blue, folding top agate grey. Chassis with Cardan part as well as Trilex wheel rims and rear fenders in melon yellow. Front bumper melon yellow. Rear cab windows imprinted with a red-yellow curtain design. Trailer with blue flatbed, folding top in agate grey. Chassis with swing axle, centre pivot plate and draw-bar melon. Fenders in melon yellow. Tail lights imprinted red.
