PUBLISHER'S NOTE
This book brings us to the northern most stations on the former SAR Western System and while Gladstone was the terminus (for the broad gauge) it is still our intention to produce a stand alone book at a later date to cover this extensive station and yard. In this book we have therefore concentrated on Abbeville and Georgetown, including even more historical information than we usually provide.
